“The people are largely satisfied over the crackdown on drugs … the death of Ekram is being probed. No one will be spared,” he said on Saturday.
“One or two mistakes can occur during a large task. But those responsible for the mistakes will face actions,” added the Road Transport Minister Quader.
His remarks came at the inauguration ceremony of a bus service for women.
Teknaf Municipality Councillor Ekramul Haque was killed during the anti-drug crackdown on May 27. The RAB said he was killed during a shootout. His family claims security forces killed Ekram in cold blood.
Replying to queries from the media, ruling party General Secretary Quader said the government will take actions if any innocent person is victimized in the anti-drug raid.
“The campaign is praised by the people and only those who were politically opposed to the government are criticizing,” he said.
