Umrah Visa travelers barred from visiting other places

A sreenshot of Saudi passport directorate`s notice.Saudi Arabia’s General Directorate of Passports has imposed a ban on traveling to other places outside of Makkah, Medina and Jeddah on travelers visiting the country with Umrah visa.
A statement published on the website of the Passport Directorate said that overseas citizens coming to perform Umrah Hajj should be careful about the duration of visa, reports Gulf Business.
The statement instructs Umra Visa bearing travelers to leave the country without any delay before the visa expires. Otherwise, he will be sentenced to six months imprisonment and fined 50,000 Saudi real, before being deported.
Warning the travelers living in the country after the expiry of Umrah Visa, the statement called on Saudi citizens to avoid any transaction with such illegal travelers.
Mentionable, the Saudi government launched a drive against border trespassers and labour law violators, arresting around 11 lakhs and deporting around 3 lakhs to their home countries.
Over two thousand Umrah Visa-expired travelers have been also arrested during the drive.
Contacted, Law Counselor to Bangladesh Embassy in Saudi Arabia Mamunur Rashid told the Bangla Tribune, “In a statement, the Saudi Passport Directorate has called on travelers with Umrah Visa to return to their countries before the expiry of visa.
