There will be no hearing on Bangladesh in the international Labour Conference annual conference.
The conference started in Geneva on May 28 and scheduled to end on June 9.
Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Huq is leading a 40-member delegation in the conference, says a press release of the ministry.
The minister attended the general assembly session on Friday when state minister labour Md Mujibul Haque, standing committee on labour ministry members Md Ruhul Amin and Md Rezaul Haque Chowdhury, Legislative and Parliamentary Affairs Division Senior Secretary Mohammad Shahidul Haque, labour Secretary Afroza Khan and other members took part.
Bangladesh was included in the hearing list in 2013, and in 2016, a ‘special paragraph’ was attached against Bangladesh to improve labour condition.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in that year sent the law minister who made certain commitment which was fulfilled this year.
