Awami League leader Obaidul Quader, who had been undergoing treatment at Singapore, has been released from the Mount Elizabeth Hospital.
He was released around 1:30pm Bangladesh time on Friday (Apr 5), Quader’s spokesperson Abu Naser told Bangla Tribune.
“The road transport minister is doing well. He will stay in Singapore a few more days after his release for follow-up treatment, as per the doctors’ suggestions,” he said.
On Mar 3, the Awami League secretary general suffered a cardiac arrest following which he was taken to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) hospital. On Mar 4 he was airlifted to Singapore’s Mount Elizabeth Hospital, where a bypass surgery was performed on him on Mar 20.
