RAJUK starts drive to find faulty multi-storey building

Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (RAJUK), Dhaka's development authority, has started its drive to inspect and find buildings that have violated rules and regulations.
A total of 24 teams of RAJUK began the drive on Sunday morning.
The teams – under eight zones of RAJUK – will inspect buildings that are over 10-storeys tall.
RAJUK Director (admin), who leads Zone 6 (Motijheel and Vulta) team, told Bangla Tribune that they were inspecting to find out whether any violation of the building code and fire safety regulation.
The decision to inspect buildings was made after a deadly fire in Banani’s FR Tower, which killed 26 people on Mar 28.
