Those who extended the floors of the fire stricken FR Tower to 23 floors against a permission of 18 floors will not be spared, said Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Chairman Iqbal Mahmud.
“Those who are linked will be punished,” he said on Sunday (Mar 31).
The people who extended the building may get reprieve from court but will not be spared by the ACC, he confirmed.
“We are giving our word that we shall be stern in dealing with those who launder money abroad; unless they return the looted money, the consequence will be disastrous.”
In the fire accident at FR Tower on Thursday (Mar 28), 26 people were killed. The fire was doused by the combined effort of over 20 fire units supported by defence forces.
