Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Branch, DB, has arrested Yasin, the conductor of the bus which killed a student, Abrar Ahmed Chowdhury.

It’s believed that Yasin was driving the vehicle when the accident happened.

DC of DB north, Moshiur Rahman, said, “After the accident, we arrested the driver Sirajul and then found that the vehicle was being driven by Yasin, the conductor.”

He also said that details will be revealed at a press conference on Wednesday (Mar 27), at the DMP media centre.

Abrar, a student of Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP), was killed when a bus of Supravat ran him over on Mar 19 in front of Jamuna Future Park near Nodda in the capital’s Bashudhara Residential area.

Later, students of the university blockaded the roads, placed 12 point demands and demanded death sentence for the driver.
