Bangladesh and India will discuss trans-border security, cross border trafficking and border management issues as the 7th round of home minister-level set to kick off in New Delhi on Apr 1.
Bangladesh Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan and his Indian counterpart Rajnath Singh will lead their respective sides to the talks, state news agency BSS reported quoting sources at the Bangladesh mission in Delhi.
Khan is expected to reach New Delhi on a 3-day official visit on Mar 31 to join the talks.
The 6th round of the talks was held in Dhaka in October last year when Indian Home Minister Rajnath Singh visited Bangladesh.
The BSS report quoted another source saying that issues like, the Rohingya crisis, visa restrictions ahead and during the Indian general election will discussed the in the talks.
The election to 543 seats of the India’s lower House the ‘Lok Sabha’ will be held in seven phases from April 11 to May 19 and the results will be declared on May 23.
