There will be no exams for students from grade-I to grade III at schools from this year, say Primary and Mass Education Secretary Akram-Al-Hossain.
The move to scrap all kinds of exams for students studying in their first three academic grades came following a directive from Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, he told a media briefing on Sunday (Mar 24).
Earlier the primary and mass education ministry announced that the decision would be effectibe from next year.
“Even if exams are lifted from up to grade three, there will be an evaluation process to promote students to the next class,” said Hossain.
