Minister of Road Transport and Bridges Obaidul Quader has been admitted to the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) after he fell ill on Sunday (Mar 3) morning

Senior Public Relation Officer Abu Naser of the Roads and Highways Division said his health deteriorated after Fazr prayer on Sunday.

“Doctors suggested to run an angiogram after initial checkup,” he said.

The angiogram test has identified heart blocks, Awami League spokesperson Biblap Barua told Bangla Tribune.

Doctors are discussing the next course of treatment for Quader, who is also the general secretary of the ruling party.
