The government has decided to change ambassadors in Myanmar, Australia, France and Mauritius.
A government source said Myanmar ambassador Mohammad Sufiur Rahman would become high commissioner in Australia while Australian high commission Kazi Imtiaz Hossain would become ambassador in France.
Milan consul general Rezina Ahmed would become the next ambassador in Myanmar while New York consul general Mohammad Shameem Ahsan will become new ambassador in Mauritius.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh ambassador in France Mohammad Shahidul Islam has become the new secretary general of regional organization BIMSTEC.
The tenure of last BIMSTEC secretary General Sumith Nakandala expired on August 10.
