Newly appointed Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni has pledged to not let down the prime minister’s trust in her abilities.
“We will work as a team in the education sector,” she said on Tuesday (Jan 8) after officially taking on her duties at the secretariat.
She added that transparency, accountability and the ability to accept criticism was imperative to overcome any challenge.
She said that they will strive to make changes and improvements wherever it’s needed.
Meanwhile, the new State Minister for Education Mohibul Hassan Chowdhury Nowfel, who was accompanying Dipu Moni, pledged to work with sincerity to accomplish the goals of the manifesto.
Dr Dipu Moni, who is the first female education minister, had also served as the foreign minister during the 2008-2014 Awami League rule. She and Nowfel both took their oath of office on Tuesday (Jan 7).
