The new parliament members (MP), elected on Dec 30 National Election, will be sworn in on Jan 3, says Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu.

He informed the media regarding the swearing in of new MPs on Tuesday (Dec 1) and added that a gazette notification in this regard will be issued on Jan 2.

Speaking during an event at the Secretariat in the capital, Inu said, “The Grand Alliance have won a landslide. It’s certain that the next government will soon take charge under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina.”

Terming the ruling alliance as the alliance of the people, the JaSod faction chief said, “It’s no coalition of the devil, not of the saints either.”

“If there were any mistakes on our part, gracefully forgive those,” he urged.
