Awami League to pay homage to Bangabandhu

Party flag of Awami LeagueRuling Awami League (AL), which won the national polls with a massive majority, is scheduled to pay respects to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing a wreath at his portrait in front of Bangabandhu Memorial Museum at the capital’s Dhanmondi.

AL supporters, activists and top brass-led by the party chief and Prime Minister-elect Sheikh Hasina, who is also the sitting premier, will pay their tributes at 10am Tuesday (Jan 1), said a press release sent out to the media on Monday (Dec 31)

Secretary General of the party, Obaidul Quader has requested AL activists and leaders’ presence on the occasion.

Around 11am on Tuesday, the polls winning party is scheduled to hold a press conference at the AL chief’s  Dhanmondi Offices.
