The home ministry has promoted 268 Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) to the rank of Additional Superintendent of Police.
The ministry gave the promotion following the recommendation by the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) of the ministry headed by its chairman Secretary to the Public Security Division Md Mostafa Kamal Uddin.
The promoted officials will work at the previous stations till further order, according to a circular of the home ministry.
