The schedule for Eleventh National Election will be announced in October, said Election Commissioner Md Rafiqul Islam.
His announcement came on Monday while briefing the media on resetting borders of 25 parliamentary constituencies.
Islam, however, did not spell out a specific date.
The ruling Awami League has said that the parliamentary polls will be held in December.
According to constitutional provisions, the elections have to be completed by Jan 28, 2019.
