President M Abdul Hamid will be sworn in as the head of the state for a second term on Tuesday as parliament unanimously decided to entrust him with the presidency for another tenure, reports BSS.

"The ceremony will take place at 7:30 pm on Tuesday ... Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury will administer his oath to office at the Darbar Hall of Bangabhaban," the state news agnecy quoted Press Secretary to the President Joynal Abedin.

He said that all necessary preparations were taken on the occasion.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain, former presidents, top court judges, cabinet members, lawmakers, senior politicians, diplomats and other dignitaries are expected to attend the oath-taking ceremony.
