A case has been lodged against Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury, member of the Gonoshashthya Kendra trustee board, for stealing fish.
Previously, a case was lodged against him for illegal occupation of land on Wednesday.
With the latest case, the number of cases against Zafrullah stands at five, confirmed Ashulia police OC.
The case report says that Zafrullah Chowdhury had been cultivating fish on 19 acres of land by Gonoshashthya Kendra belonging to Kazi Mohibul. But reportedly, Zafrullah’s men had been trying to occupy the land and had given threats to the land owner.
Reportedly, Zafrullah’s men stole fish from Mohibul’s pond.
Other cases of extortion, occupation of land were lodged by Zafrullah on Oct 15, 21, 19 and 23.
