The 23rd session of the 10th Parliament will begin on Sunday (Oct 20).

The House will go into session at 4:30 pm on the day Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury in the chair.

This will be the last session of the 10th Parliament.

On Oct 4, President M Abdul Hamid convened the session exercising his power bestowed upon him by article 72 (1) of the Constitution.

About 13 bills are expected to be placed in the parliament during the session.

Prior to beginning the session, the advisory committee of parliament will hold a meeting at 3pm with the Speaker in the chair.

So far, 174 bills have been passed during the 402 working days (till its 22nd session) of this Parliament.

The 22nd session of the House was held from Oct 9 and Oct 20.
