The public administration ministry says the order abolishing reserved posts under different quotas in civil service will be issued as soon as the prime minister’s instructions come.
“We are awaiting the prime minister’s next instructions. The pressing issue now is the order from the head of the government,” said Senior Secretary Mozammal Haque Khan.
Responding to queries from the media on Wednesday, he said, “The circular will be issued in due time, There’s no rush as no recruitments are ongoing.”
Referring to the PM’s address to parliament, where she said protecting the rights of disable and indigenous people, the bureaucrat said they were waiting for her orders on it.
“The circular will be issued in line with her instructions. Our job is now to wait for the orders. Many people are making comments on it creating confusion. This is not a simple matter, rather a bit complicated” he said before adding everything will be clear once the PM’s orders come.
Earlier in the day, Cabinet Secretary Mohammad Shafiul Alam said a panel will be formed to address the issue of the disabled and indigenous groups.
“The public administration ministry will issue the circular. The details and how the matter of the disabled and small indigenous groups will be addressed will be based upon suggestions by a committee formed on it,” he told the media.
Referring to Alam’s remarks, public administration secretary Haque said, “He is the highest ranking officer of the administration. Do consider his instructions.”
