As many as 117 male workers have returned home from Saudi Arabia.

However, the returnees have put the number at 152 who were on board in the Saudi Airlines flight that landed at the Dhaka airport on Friday (Oct 5)on.

But, 117 workers have registered with the Expatriate Welfare Desk, said a desk official.

Another 20 workers also returned on Friday in a separate flight operated by the Turkish Airlines.

One of the returnees, Mokter Hossein said, at least 1200 Bangladeshi workers are waiting to be sent back.

The Saudi authorities are arbitrarily sending them back, he alleged.

Previously, 144 male workers returned from Saudi Arabia on Oct 3.
