A petition has been filed seeking the High Court's orders to dissolve Parliament 42days before the national election and the formation of a caretaker government to oversee the polls.
On Monday, Supreme Court lawyer Yunus Ali Akand filed the plea, where the law secretary, Cabinet secretary, chief election commissioner and four others have been made respondents.
Akand told Bangla Tribune that the court may hear the matter later in the day.
