Chief Election Commissioner KM Nurul HudaThe Election Commission is yet to decide on using electronic voting machines (EVMs) for the Eleventh Parliamentary Election, says Chief Election Commissioner KM Nurul Huda.
“We will use it as a test case in some centres in the local government polls,” he said on Saturday before adding that they will consider feedbacks from voters, polls officials as well as political parties before introducing EVMs for the national polls.
Replying to query, he said that the code of conduct for the national polls will be formulated keeping in mind that the Parliament will remain valid during the election due to which “there will be a bit of problem regarding campaigns.”
Hoping the next national elections to be an all-inclusive one, CEC Huda said, “It would be really unfortunate if it happens like the tenth parliamentary polls. I believe all political parties will take part.”
