The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Tuesady conducted another drive at the Office of the Controller General of Accounts (CGA) in the capital, BSS said.
A five-member ACC team conducted the drive upon receiving allegation of taking bribe from the service seekers over its hotline 106.
Earlier, the commission conducted two drives in the CGA office on Sep 9, 2017, and May 5, 2018, and gave some suggestions to check bribery and irregularities.
In line with the ACC directives, the CGA office has opened a separate ‘Pension and Fund Management’ unit to reduce harassment of the pension seekers.
The ACC team has asked the CGA office to pass the bills in due process without any bribe or irregularities.
One Agufa Begum, who was not getting pension of her husband despite making several attempts, overcame all hurdles after her pension related problems were solved in presence of the ACC.
