A Bangladesh Embassy in Beirut issued a circular on 23 August saying that the attestation of job contracts by the embassy will remain suspended until further orders.
Without the attestation, a worker cannot get visa to go to Lebanon.
A Bangladesh Embassy in Beirut issued a circular on 23 August saying that the attestation of job contracts by the embassy will remain suspended until further orders.The circular also read that a new guideline is being prepared by the Bangladesh government for sending workers to Lebanon, which will be circulated to all concerned agencies once finalised.
The embassy’s Facebook post also informs that they took the decision to stop the malpritice of manpower agents.
“It is regular process and it will start the operation when a new guide line will be prepared,” Sayem Ahmed, Head of Consulate and Counselor of Bangladesh Embassy in Beirut, told Bangla Tribune.
“We hope that the embassy will resume the operation by a month,” he added.
