Aung San Suu Kyi's meeting with Dutch House of Representatives has been cancelled, according to an announcement by the Tweede Kamer, the lower house of Dutch parliament.
The statement said the Friday's meeting was cancelled due to Suu Kyi's unexpected exchanges in The Hague, reports Netherland's NL Times.
Suu Kyi is currently in The Hague due to a lawsuit that The Gambia filed at the International Court of Justice against Myanmar, accusing the country of genocide against the Rohingya people.
Dutch parliamentarians wanted to use this opportunity to meet Suu Kyi and discuss the background of the genocide charges pressed against Myanmar.
