A Nepalese cabinet member stepped down after coming under fire for his remarks on female medical students studying Bangladesh, reports Kathmandu Post.
Law Minister Sher Bahadur Tamang announced his resignation on Tuesday during a media briefing.
On Jul 20, Tamang said that Nepali girls who are studying or have studied MBBS in Bangladesh were bound to compromise their honour to claim their certificates.
He issued apology but was under pressure from within his party to step down from his post.
