Bangla Tribune Editor Zulfiqer Russell has received the National Film Award as the best lyricist for the 2018 film Putro.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina handed over the award during a ceremony at Bangabandhu International Conference Center on Sunday (Dec 8).
Having written more than 700 songs since 1994, many of which were sung by prominent artists, he has also won the Channel i Music Awards in 2008, 2010, and 2013 and also received the Mirchi Music Awards.
