Jasim Ahmed, a Bangladeshi filmmaker has made a documentary named ‘A Pair of Sandal’ basing the ongoing oppression on Rohingya Muslims of the Rakhine state of Myanmar. The language of this 5 min documentary is made in English.
In the words of the maker of this documentary, it contains a message about how human rights are violated in the Rakhine state.
Jasim Ahmed told the Bangla Tribune ‘In this film a Rohingya child shows a pair of sandal. Is he showing this towards the western world, the powerful state mechanism or towards the blind supporters of Myanmar government? I tried to deal this issue symbolically.’

He is also planning to make a full-length film in Bangla language about the Rohingya issue. His short film 'Dag' (Stain) made in the context of 1971, took part in the 70th Kana Festival Short Film Corner.
