Robirag, a prominent cultural institution in the country, celebrates Pahela Boishakh staged a cultural soiree at Shawkat Osman Smriti Auditorium in Shahbag Public Library on Thursday (April 12) at around 7pm.
The main entrance of the program was designed with ‘Alpona’. A lamp was placed in the middle of that alpona and the lyrics of the songs were heard from the entrance.
In the main stage of the Auditorium was highly decorated and renowned singers and dancers of the country were there. The singers were singing songs in a chorus with a tone of sorrow as another Bangla year was leaving from world timeline.
After that period, a series of songs were played to welcome new Bangla year 1425.
Like every other year, ‘Robirag’ organizes such kind of program which brings the pure gesture of Bangali heritage and culture.
‘Muche jak glani ghuce jak dhora, Ognisnane suci hok dhora’, was the song which played at the beginning of the program followed by ‘Biroho madhu holo aji’, ‘Jonaki shukhe’, ‘Koto rong je chilo’, ‘Sunil sagor he’, ‘ganer jhorna dhara’ and so on.
Later, a group dance show was performed by Shibli Mohammad and Shamin Ara Nipa and many others dancers.
‘Robirag’ president Amina Ahmed and director Sadi Mohammad led the whole program.
