Two leading musical bands of the country, which player a pioneering role in popularizing modern band songs in Bangladesh are Renaissance and Souls.

Both started in Chittagong and Nakib Khan, the Renaissance vocal, began his music career in Souls. This Eid Souls sang Renaissance’s Nonaiya Nonaiya – a song in the Chittagonian dialect.

Along with seven popular songs, Souls performed on Friday at Desh TV, on the third day of Eid, at 8: 45 pm.

Produced by Banglalink, 23 members of BAMBA, the country’s band music platform, are presenting songs in succession on the same stage, in a marathon programme that started on Eid day.
