RAB member severely injured while disposing bomb

A member of Rapid Action Battalion’s (RAB) bomb disposal unit has lost one of his wrists while disposing a bomb in Jashore.
Corporal Shahidul Islam, 32, was severely injured at the Abhaynagar police station compound around 11am on Wednesday.
The police station officer-in-charge (OC) Tazul Islam confirmed the matter to Bangla Tribune.
OC Tazul said: “A team of RAB 6 Khulna camp came to dispose some bombs which were seized in February.
“One of the bombs, inadvertently blasted in which Shahidul’s left wrist was detached. Later, he was shifted to Jashore Combine Military Hospital (CMH).
