Two people were killed after a head-on collision between a truck and a motorbike at the Chattogram-Cox’s Bazar Highway.
The incident was reported late on Monday (Aug 19) at Amojurhat area in Chattogram’s Patiya Upazila, said Patiya hospital Dr Soumen Barua.
The deceased have been identified as Rafiqul Islam Arju, 25 and his brother-in-law Md Shahjahan, 42.
“The two victims, riding a motorbike, were on the way to Patiya from Chattogram city when it collided head-on with a truck at Amjurhat area,” Dr Barua told Bangla Tribune.
He added that locals rescued the victims and brought to the hospital around 10.30pm where the doctors declared them dead.
