Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) has cancelled licenses of 124 Voice over Internet Protocol Service Providers (VSPs).
A letter was issued by Senior Assistant Director of BTRC Zakir Hossain Khan regarding the matter on Tuesday (Aug 6).
"Of the VSPs, 106 failed to pay government dues and renew license in time. Licenses of another 18 VSPs could not be renewed as they failed to submit applications properly," he said.
Zakir said issued copies of the letter were sent to the concerned authorities.
"BTRC asked the authorities to clear all the dues within a period of one month," he concluded.
