Facebook has reportedly crashed, with thousands of users unable to post or share content.
Users across the world, including in Bangladesh, have reported on Sunday (Aug 4) that the sharing feature is not working and that they have been unable to comment or upload photos.
United States, parts of Europe, Malaysia, India and Australia, among other places faced the outage, according to downdetector.com.
The site reported that the outage began around 7.36 pm Bangladesh Standard Time with 59% of problems reported on the newsfeed, 24% during log in and 16% total blackout.
Some users have received a message that social networking site is down for required maintenance and would be up again in a few minutes, reports British media outlet Mirror.
Messenger chats have also stopped working for many, while some have reported a total blackout.
Instagram users have also reported problems where they get an error message when logging in.
Others have found their news feed won't load, while some have found they are unable to send direct messages.

Instagram is a part of Facebook, with users able to share images between the social networks.
The social media giant has apologised after users complained of trouble.
“Earlier today [Sunday], some people and businesses experienced trouble uploading or sending images, videos and other files on our apps and platforms,” Facebook said in a tweet. “The issue has since been resolved and we should be back at 100% for everyone. We’re sorry for any inconvenience.”
While the social media site claimed that the outage had been resolved, users continued to report problems, reports Indian media outlet ‘Scroll.in’.
In July, Facebook along with its applications WhatsApp and Instagram had faced a global outage.
In March, when all three of Facebook’s major applications faced a similar outage, the problem lasted for many hours.
