Foreign ministry's app 'Dutabash' are now available in Apple Store, says an official.
Usually Apple Store does not enlist app developed by the company registered in Bangladesh but they have registered 'Dutabash' app under special consideration, he said.
Foreign ministry has developed the 'Dutabash' app and holds its copyright.
When the ministry sought Apple Store's registration they wanted details on the app, said the official adding Apple charges only $99 for registration fee.
'Dutabash' app is also available in Google Play Store, the official added.
The app offers as many as 34 services benefiting millions of Bangladeshis at home and abroad.
In most cases, the service seekers will not be required to physically come to the missions abroad or to the foreign ministry at home.
Backed by a cloud server with a facility of backup storage, 'Dutabash' app will also help build a system to assist victims of human trafficking.
‘People would be able to receive by their cell-phone different authentication services extended by the foreign ministry,’ earlier Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen said in a tweet.
