Landline phones and internet services by the state-owned telco in Dhaka’s financial hub of Motijheel will remain snapped for four days starting from Friday.
Bangladesh Telecommunications Company Ltd (BTCL) said in a statement on Monday that it will shut service from Jul 8 to 11 for ‘transferring its underground primary cables’ to facilitate the MetroRail project.
The statement by BTCL Director (Public Relations) Mir Mohammad Khorshed apologised for the inconveniences.
