Khulna Titans have set 152-run target for Chittagong Vikings after the port city franchise sent them to bat first in their BPL clash at the Mirpur’s Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium.

Dawid Malan’s knock of 45 off 43 deliveries and skipper Mahmudullah’s 33 off 31 set the foundation for the Titans to edge past 150 runs.

At the end of 20 overs, the Titans managed to score 151 for six wickets.

For the Vikings Sunzamul Islam claimed two wickets.

Team Mahmudullah must win today’s match to stay in the tournament, as they came to this match without a win in their first three matches

Earlier before the match rolled on to the pitch Titans Alrounder Ariful Haque told Bangla Tribune, “We have no choice but to win as our back is against the wall. We want to win against the Vikings at any cost.”

Reflected on the underlying issues hindering winning performances, Ariful said, “A number of things are not in our favour this time around. We are yet to settle on a team combination. The foreign players haven’t blended into the squad in that way,” Ariful said.

He, however, said that they had been working hard to work on the issue.

“All we need is a win. A win will set things right,” he added.
