Desperate to register the first win of the tournament, Khulna Titans have locked horns with Chittagong Vikings at the Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on Saturday (Jan 12).

Vikings skipper Mushfiqur Rahim won the toss and sent the Titans to bat first.

In a must-win match for the Khulna franchise, team Mahmudullah is fired up to give their very best, said Titans Alrounder Ariful Haque.

“We played three matches but yet to win our first. We have no choice but to win as our back is against the wall,” said Ariful before adding, “We want to win against the Vikings at any cost.”

Expressing optimism about making a comeback in the sixth edition of BPL, Ariful reflected on the underlying issues hindering winning performances.

“A number of things are not in our favour this time around. We are yet to settle on a team combination. The foreign players haven’t blended into the squad in that way,” Ariful said.

He, however, said that they have been working hard to work on the issue.

“All we need is a win. A win will set things right,” he added.
