Bangladesh lost their first super four match of the Asia Cup by seven wickets as India clinched an easy win at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Friday.

Indian skipper Rohit Sharma’s unbeaten 83 off 104 balls ensured India an easy chase of a meagre target of 174 that Bangladesh set.

The top order batsmen failed to do their part with Mehidy Hasan Miraz scoring 47, the highest in Bangladesh Innings and skipper Mashrafe bin Mortaza added 26, the second highest.

The duo made a 66 run eighth wicket stand, the only highlight of the Bangladesh Innings.

Rabindra Jadeja was elected player of the match for taking four wickets, while Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar claimed three each.

Earlier, Indian captain Rohit won the toss and sent Bangladesh to bat.

Mushfiqur Rahim and Mustafizur Rahman were brought back in the squad for this super four match in place of Mominul Haque and Abu Hider.

Ravindra Jadeja, the highest wicket-taker for India, made it to the squad after Hardik Pandya was ruled out of the tournament with a back injury.

Bangladeshi batsmen suffered another batting disaster in Friday's match against India.

Bangladesh came to this super-four match after playing against Afghanistan the previous day.
