After losing the opening match of the Asian Games Football, Bangladesh showed tremendous fighting spirit in their second match forcing a 1-1 draw against a much stronger Thailand team.
Mahbubur Rahman Sufil put the team ahead in the 52nd minute of the match held at the Pakansari Stadium in Bogor on Thursday. However, Thai player Chaided managed to score in the 80th minute resulting in a 1-1 draw at fulltime.
With this draw Bangladesh kept their hopes alive to advance to the round of 16.
