Family members have met BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia in jail.
Khaleda’s elder sister Selima Rahman and nephew Dr Mamun Ahmed went to the old central jail in Dhaka’s Nazimuddin Road at 4:30pm on Friday (Aug 3), ABM Abdus Sattar, personal secretary of the BNP chief, told Bangla Tribune.
They left at around 5:30.
The former prime minister was jailed for five years on January 8 this year in Zia Orphanage Trust corruption case.
Immediately after the verdict, Khaleda was taken to the old central prison of Nazimuddin Road.
