Meanwhile, Redowan Ahmed has retained the post of secretary general, the party’s new Organising Secretary Salauddin Razzaque told Bangla Tribune on Saturday (Nov 9).
“The party has been reorganised, leaving out those who remain busy with business work and inactive in the party,” Oli Ahmed said.
Leaving out Selim, seven posts of joint secretary generals have been created amongst which two posts remain vacant.
According to LDP 17 leaders have been made part of the party presidium amongst which only four have been named. The rest of the 13 will be selected as per the party charter.
After the formation of the new committee, 21 vice president posts have been created amongst which 10 posts are vacant.
Moreover, 10 leaders have been nominated to the board of advisors while 11 posts are vacant there. In addition to that the committee now has seven posts for organising secretaries.
“Those who lost interest after the polls thinking that there is no future for politics, have been left out, of the new party,” he said and added that those who joined LDP during its bad times have been included in the committee.
