BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia's older sister Selima Rahman briefing the media on Friday (Sept 20). BNP chief Khaleda Zia’s condition has gotten worse, her older sister Selima Rahman said following a visit on Friday (Sept 20).
“She’s not being able to stand up,” BNP Chairperson’s media wing member Shamsuddin Didar said quoting Khaleda’s sister.
He said that the former premier’s family went to visit her at the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) cabin block on Friday and stayed for nearly one-and-half hours.
At the end of the visit, Selima Rahman said that Khaleda’s condition has worsened and she is unable to eat properly.
Khaleda who is serving a 17-year prison term in two corruption cases was transferred to BSMMU on Apr 1 this year for treatment from the old jailhouse on Nazim Uddin Road.
She will be taken to the Keraniganj prison instead of old jailhouse after the treatment.
