Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport Minister Obaidul Quader has said the whole issue of Chhatra League is being looked after the PM and she will take all the decisions.
This is the first time, disciplinary steps were taken against Chhatra League president for breach of discipline, said the minister.
Quader made the comments on Sunday (Sept 15), while visiting the Bhulta Flyover construction in Roopganj, Narayanganj.
Saying that Bangladesh AL is ready for the national council, he said: “The council will be held on Dec 20 and 21 next.”
Quader also said that 175 rebel candidates of the upazila election were given notice.
Steps are being taken against those involved in irregularities and corruption, he observed and added: “The government has taken zero-tolerance against corruption; no one will be spared.”
The Bhulta flyover was constructed for more than Tk 3.75 billion and this is aimed to ease traffic jams and ensure smooth communication, he said.
“The PM will inaugurate it any moment through video conference.”
The minister also said that all preparations have been done to make Dhaka-Syhet highway into a four lane highway.
Once this is done, traffic jams will fall, he added.
