BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has spent time with her family members and ate home-made food on the Eid day.
Family members were allowed to enter the jailed BNP chief's cabin at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU), where she has been undergoing treatment since Apr 1, at 1:45pm on Monday (Aug 12).
Khaleda's late son Arafat Rahman Koko's wife Sharmi Rahman, granddaughter Zafia Rahman and, Zahiya Rahman, brother Shamim Iskandar, sisters-in-law Kaniz Fatema, nephew Ovik Iskandar were among the visitors.
They left the hospital around 3:45pm avoiding the media.
Speaking to media, BNP's media wing officer Shamsiddin Didar said Khaleda's family had taken home-made food of her likings to the BSMMU.
the BNP had her lunched with the family member there, he added.
On Feb 8, 2018, Khaleda was sent to jail after a special court sentenced her to five years' rigorous imprisonment in Zia Orphanage Trust graft case.
The BNP chief earlier celebrated Eid trice in jail in addition to her arrest by the army-backed caretaker government after the 1/11 political changeover in 2007.
