Jatiya Party acting chief GM Quader has said that he learnt to handle crisis in politics from his brother and deceased party chairman HM Ershad.
His reminiscence came on Wednesday (Jul 17) while remembering the former military dictator at his qulkhwani.
Attributing his political knowledge to his older brother, he said, Ershad established Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishthan (BKSP) and planted the seed for sports.
He expressed gratitude to the prime minister and president for checking up on Ershad regularly and reminisced about personal memories with his brother.
The deceased leader of opposition breathed his last at the Combined Military Hospital in Dhaka on Sunday (Jul 14).
He had been suffering from myelodysplastic syndrome or a low-level of haemoglobin in his blood for a long time along with kidney and liver problem, high bilirubin and severe keen pain.
He has been laid to rest at ‘Polli Nibash,’ his Rangpur residence on Tuesday (Jul 16).
