Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad’s condition has remained unchanged and shows no signs of improvement, said his younger brother GM Quader.
“The doctors are hopeful he might get well with advanced treatment. But he isn’t out of danger,” he said on Saturday (Jul 6) while briefing the media on Ershad’s health condition.
Quader, who serves as the party’s acting chief said that the Combined Military Hospital doctors are consulting with doctors in Singapore who have discouraged him to be flown there after seeing the reports.
“He is on ventilation. He’ll be taken off artificial breathing support when his condition improves,” he said.
Quader said that the former military dictator has been undergoing dialysis since the last two days through which his infection is being controlled and unnecessary water is being taken out of his body.
