Finance Minister Abul Mal Abdul Muhith feels that former president HM Ershad is a better candidate than BNP chief Khaleda Zia.
“I heard that Khaleda Zia and Ershad may contest in my constituency (Sylhet-1). I will put Ershad ahead as Sylhet saw huge developments during his regime”, he said while talking with media at his office after Eid vacation Monday.
Though indifferent, the finance minister might contest the upcoming general election if his party desires.
Referring to the Eid celebration, the senior minister of cabinet said that people, this year, observed their best Eid festival in recent years.
