Family members of BNP chief Khaleda Zia met her in Nazimuddin road old jail on eid day.
A total of 20 members went there with food and new clothes.
Meanwhile, earlier BNP leaders left jail as they were denied permission to meet her.
A group of BNP senior leaders led by party secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir headed for the central jail at capital’s Nazim Uddin road around 12:15pm.
Police blocked the BNP leaders away from the jail gate after they had reached.
“Our leader is jailed illegally. We prayed to meet her three days earlier (showed the copy). Prisoners are allowed to meet on Eid day”, said Mirza Fakhrul.
